Again I want to thank you for your order. As you know from when Mike emailed you before, the MPC 1000 Pad Upgrade Kits were such a low initial release Akai is having a hard time  providing enough of them to go around. These pad kits are being underproduced and being made very slowly by Akai – I thank you for waiting! Unfortunately, we have no way of controlling the manufacturing of these pad kits because they are produced by Akai and only sold through us, not made by us.

We are NOW told by Akai it could be another 4-6 weeks, and it could be more and could be less.  As you know, Akai can be wary when it comes to giving us correct ETAs. We are not sure why it is taking so long but assure you, you will be the first to get your pads since we are the first in line from Akai.

Although there is nothing we can do to get them faster, we will be able to sweeten your wait a little bit. We now have produced colored pad sets for the MPC1000 for the pad upgrade. Since you have been so patient in waiting for your kit to ship we will be shipping a set for FREE with your kit with your color choice of pads. Choices are yellow, blue, red, white, clear, black or regular grey.
